Postdoctoral researcher
Raluca Tanasescu received a PhD in Translation Studies from the University of Ottawa’s School of Translation and Interpretation. Her doctoral work was supported by the very prestigious Ontario Trillium Award and the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship between 2013 and 2018. Until 2022, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher in digital humanities at the University of Galway, where she applied various quantitative approaches to the study of multilingual philosophy corpora. At the University of Galway, Raluca works as a researcher in translation and global media within Prof Anne O’Connor’s PIETRA research project. She currently serves as the Chair of the Multilingualism and Multiculturalism Committee for the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations.
